Job summary

EverCommerce’s EverHealth team seeks a Software Engineer to develop new features for the EverHealth platform, enhancing care delivery for medical practices. You will work on scalable, API‑driven services, and collaborate across domains to maintain and improve existing experiences while enabling growth for customers.

The role involves agile practices, code reviews, and expanding automated tests, with opportunities for remote work within the US/Canada and occasional travel to HQ if needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core MVC.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and ORM (Entity Framework).
  • Experience with JavaScript SPA frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
  • Experience with SQL Server and T‑SQL, including stored procedures and performance tuning.
  • CI/CD with Git, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
  • OpenSearch or related search/cache tech.
  • Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/JIRA).
  • OOP principles and design patterns.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Software Engineer to focus on our EverHealth products. EverHealth a technology platform that enables medical practices of all sizes to make care more informed, more personalized, more interactive, and more adaptable. Our platform has been used by thousands of physicians who in turn have provided care to millions of patients. On the software development team in the EverHealth team, you will be responsible for developing new features and functionality that both maintain existing experiences as well as drive innovation to support growth for our solution and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a team of software engineers and domain experts to design, develop, and deliver sophisticated software solutions.
  • Design and implement innovative, scalable, and resilient applications to solve complex business problems.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while supporting team members in problem‑solving efforts.
  • Conduct code reviews and review pull requests to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

Experience and Skills:

3+ Years of Experience

  • .NET ecosystem, including .NET, .NET Core, or .NET Framework using C# and/or VB.NET.
  • ASP.NET Core MVC application development.
  • LINQ for data querying and manipulation.
  • JavaScript and modern Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies, including Entity Framework and LINQ to SQL.
  • Designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Relational database development, preferably Microsoft SQL Server and T‑SQL, including:
  • Complex stored procedures and functions
  • Query optimization and performance tuning
  • Database design and data access best practices
  • Source control and CI/CD practices using Git, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
  • Search and caching technologies, such as OpenSearch.
  • Cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Agile software development methodologies and tools, including Scrum, Kanban, and JIRA.
  • Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.

1+ Y Years of Experience

  • Modern AI‑assisted software development tools, such as Claude Code and Cursor.
  • Applying AI tooling to improve developer productivity, code generation, debugging, and documentation.

General understanding:

  • ANSI HIPAA electronic healthcare transactions, including 835, 837, 270, 271, and related transaction sets.
  • Health Information Technology (HIT) concepts, standards, and healthcare software development practices.
  • Unit testing methodologies and automated testing best practices.
Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in‑office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation:

EverCommerce is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 USD Per Year. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
