The Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School is seeking a Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher certified in Spanish for an upcoming position. The teacher will ensure the educational success of students aged 6 to 9, collaborating on bilingual curriculum delivery and participating in school activities. This full-time role is supported by a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a Lower Elementary Spanish Montessori Teacher.
• Montessori training is a plus.
• Experience collaborating in bilingual settings.

Lower Elementary Spanish Montessori Teacher

Job Location: 5000 14th ST, NW, Washington, DC 20011

Duties

Provides for the welfare, safety, and educational achievements of students in Lower Elementary level (6 to 9 years of age); collaborates with co-teacher to deliver the Bilingual Montessori Curriculum; develops reading and writing skills in Spanish; maintains records of children's progress with an emphasis on the development of two languages; collaborates with co-teacher to plan instruction and special activities; participates in parent conferences and meetings throughout the school year in accordance with school policy; meets with Principal to develop solutions for any parent, staff, or school-related challenges, as needed; is available to assist with other support duties.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience as a Lower Elementary Spanish Montessori Teacher
• Possesses Montessori training is a plus
• Fluent in the Spanish language
