About the Role
We're looking for someone to own trade shows, events, and experiential programs for North America across all our business units. You'll take business priorities and turn them into well-run event strategies and execution plans — from early planning and budgeting through on-site delivery and post-event follow-up.
You'll also serve as the primary internal partner to our external PR agency. The agency will handle much of the day-to-day PR planning and execution; your role is to provide business context, keep priorities aligned, coordinate key media moments around events and launches, and make sure the agency has what it needs to deliver effectively.
This role is regional in scope and highly cross-functional. We're looking for someone who can manage multiple events, stakeholders, vendors, timelines, and competing priorities without losing sight of the bigger business objective. Consumer will be an important part of the role given its event volume and visibility, while supporting B2B priorities across the organization.
This role owns the trade show and company event program end to end, including planning, logistics, sponsorships, booth execution, staffing, executive participation, customer experiences, and post-event follow-up. You'll also manage event budgets day to day — tracking spend, identifying issues early, and keeping expenditures aligned with approved priorities.
Close coordination with Sales, Marketing, Product/Operations, the PR agency, and global HQ is essential to keep events, messaging, and regional priorities aligned.
Above all, we're looking for a true operator — someone with a hands-on, do-what-it-takes mindset who doesn't wait to be asked. This role requires strong leadership, a collaborative team-first approach, and a genuine investment in building and developing the team around you.
What Success Looks Like
Six months in, you've built a clear North America trade show and events calendar that business units trust and use. Major events run smoothly, on budget, with clear objectives, strong execution, and no surprises for stakeholders. PR support around key launches and events is well coordinated with the agency. Your coordinator is growing into more ownership, and business units come to you early because they trust you to make the program work.
What You'll Do
Set event strategy and stay aligned with the business
- Meet regularly with business unit leaders to understand priorities, then build and manage one clear trade show and events calendar for North America.
- Define goals, timelines, staffing, deliverables, and budgets before work kicks off, and keep stakeholders aligned as plans evolve.
- Keep leadership updated, flag risks early, and make practical trade-offs when timing, resources, or priorities compete.
Own trade shows and events, start to finish
- Run the trade show and event program end to end — strategy, planning, logistics, sponsorships, booth execution, staffing, executive involvement, customer experiences, and media moments tied to each event.
- Set clear objectives, timelines, staffing plans, responsibilities, and success measures for each show or event.
- Own execution details across booth design, vendors, freight, registration, hospitality, signage, materials, demos, messaging, and on-site logistics, ensuring a consistent brand experience.
- Lead post-event debriefs, capture results and lessons learned, and make sure follow-up actions are assigned and completed.
Partner on PR and media
- Serve as the primary internal partner to the external PR agency, providing business context, priorities, approvals, and timely inputs.
- Coordinate PR opportunities tied to major trade shows, events, product launches, executive visibility, and company milestones.
- Work with the agency and in-house Copywriter to ensure press materials, messaging, and event communications are accurate and on brand.
- Stay aligned with HQ on global initiatives and localization so regional communications remain consistent with global direction.
- Support media relationships, interviews, awards, speaking opportunities, and other PR moments as needed.
- Help prepare spokespeople for interviews and coordinate responses to media questions in partnership with the agency and internal stakeholders.
Manage event vendors, agency partners, and budget
- Own event vendor relationships and coordinate closely with the PR agency — setting expectations, managing timelines, and holding partners accountable for quality and execution.
- Manage event and program spend day to day, track it against approved budgets, identify variances early, and report results back to stakeholders.
Lead your team
- Manage the Events & Media Coordinator day to day — set priorities, coach their work, and hold regular 1:1s.
- Help them grow their skills in event execution, project management, vendor coordination, and media support.
- Handle their performance reviews and goal-setting.
- Keep Sales, Marketing, Product/Operations, and other stakeholders in sync so event deliverables and follow-up do not fall through the cracks.
What We're Looking For
- 5–7+ years in events, trade shows, experiential marketing, or related marketing communications roles; PR/communications experience is a plus.
- Strong project management skills — able to run multiple events and workstreams at once, manage detailed timelines, and coordinate stakeholders without dropping the ball.
- Hands-on experience with trade show and event execution, including vendors, booths, logistics, staffing, executive participation, customer hospitality, and on-site problem solving.
- A track record of turning business priorities into clear event strategies, plans timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Working knowledge of PR and media relations, with experience partnering effectively with an external PR agency.
- Experience owning multiple trade shows or events from initial planning and budgeting through on-site execution and post-event follow-up.
- Strong vendor and agency management skills — able to brief partners clearly, hold them accountable, and push for better quality and execution.
- Comfortable managing budgets, purchase decisions, contracts, and spend tracking in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Experience coaching or managing people.
- Comfortable working with global/HQ stakeholders to align event priorities, messaging, and regional execution.
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of work — applied thoughtfully, not as a substitute for judgment or rigor.
- Strong communication skills, especially with executives, and excellent organizational instincts under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, Public Relations or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Experience across both B2C and B2B.
- Background in semiconductors, hardware, storage, or manufacturing.
