Job summary

CHEER, INC. operates the CHEER Community Center in Georgetown, Delaware, seeking event support staff for flexible shifts. Responsibilities include setup, linens, trash cleanup, and guest assistance. You may assist with fee collection at events and with light AV setup after training, reporting to the Hospitality and Events Director.

This casual, non-exempt role offers up to 15 hours per week with PTO eligibility based on hours worked.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication and exceptional customer service
• Basic math adding/subtracting, multiplying
• Ability to do light physical work such as pushing/pulling bending, stooping, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Friendly and outgoing
• Work independently or with light supervision

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and breakdown ( linens, tables, lobby area)
• Provide rolling carts to renters for setup materials and removal
• Handle fee collection at the door/check-in
• Wash/dry/fold linens and manage trash as needed
• Set up and break down tables/other items in lobby and restrooms
• Assist with basic AV setup after training
