People Inc. in New York is seeking an Events Associate to support planning, development, and execution for Food & Wine Classic events and related portfolio programs. The role requires hands-on operation, guest-focused execution, and collaboration across internal teams, vendors, and venues.

You will help manage attendee communications, registration, and on-site guest operations, traveling to events as needed. Hybrid work in New York is expected, with on-site presence required for major events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, hospitality, or related field.
• Experience independently managing event workstreams from planning through on-site execution.
• Comfort working with event technology, registration platforms, websites, or other consumer-facing digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned event workstreams independently from planning to on-site execution.
• Coordinate with internal teams, venues, vendors, production partners, and external stakeholders.
• Develop run-of-shows, budgets, and operational plans; manage timelines and risks.
• Own on-site guest experience workstreams including pass pickup, flow, signage, and hospitality.
• Lead seminar registration and access, ensuring smooth attendee experience.
• Manage post-purchase communications and attendee website content; support registration tools.
