Job summary

CFAC seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Events Specialist to join our development team and lead event planning and execution for fundraising and community outreach. You will drive conceptualization, logistics, vendor coordination, and donor engagement to maximize impact.

In this role you will manage budgets, coordinate staff and volunteers, partner with Community Relations for promotion, and conduct post-event evaluations to inform future campaigns while upholding our mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience in nonprofit or advocacy setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Event Planning: Develop and execute a range of events from galas to donor events with venue and vendor coordination.
• Budget Management: Create and manage event budgets and report on expenditures.
• Coordination & Execution: Oversee day-of-event logistics, staff/volunteer coordination, and issue resolution.
• Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with Community Relations for event promotion to drive attendance.
• Donor Engagement: Build relationships with donors and sponsors through events.
• Vendor & Volunteer Management: Manage caterers, decorators, entertainers, and volunteers.
• Post-Event Evaluation: Gather feedback and analyze metrics for future improvements.
• Community Relations Collaboration: Represent the organization at events and promote mission.
