United Way of Massachusetts Bay is seeking an Events Specialist to support the strategic planning and timely execution of donor engagement events and experiences, including virtual components and donation collection. This role reports to the Sr.

Director, Events and collaborates across teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. The position emphasizes partnership with Marketing for event materials, and coordination with Finance to manage contracts, invoices, and budgets for major events

• Oversee assigned events and other special engagement experiences for donors and prospects and support the Senior Director, Events in other major events throughout the year.
• Be responsible for onsite staff management for major events to ensure the end result of high-quality guest experience.
• Lead development and management of virtual event resources.
• Partner with internal Marketing for all necessary materials and collateral needed for each event.
• Serve as liaison with Finance and Administration department to ensure all contracts, invoices, and budgets are properly managed.

Job description

Events and engagement experiences are a means to deliver United Way's strategic message, increase community awareness, raise funds, cultivate, educate and recognize donors and other constituents, increase commitment to United Way, and provide staff with a platform for engagement with donors and prospects. The Events Specialist supports the strategic planning and timely execution of events and special experiences for donors and prospects, as well as technology to manage guests and collect donations. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Events.
