Job summary

The Salvation Army Omaha North Corps seeks an Events & Rentals Specialist to provide direct client and administrative support, ensuring successful execution of internal and external events. This role acts as the primary liaison to confirm contracted details and deliver outstanding service.

The position focuses on planning and coordinating seasonal and community events, managing REOs, and delivering exceptional guest experiences, with occasional evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, journalism, or public relations.
• 3–5 years of related experience in development, marketing, events management, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; able to access payroll/timekeeping data via a web-based system.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute seasonal and community events, including Christmas distribution and other large-scale program events.
• Work with leadership on logistical support for events and related activities.
• Review, create and manage Rental Event Orders (REOs) to reflect client needs and communicate to staff.
• Facilitate setup and execution of events and respond to client needs.
• Greet guests warmly, guide them, and provide exceptional service.
• Respond to rental and birthday party inquiries and guide through booking process.
• Oversee day-of birthday party execution following guidelines to ensure excellent client experience.
• Resolve client issues/complaints proactively and coordinate post-event follow-up.
• Assist with basic AV setup and coordinate for more advanced needs.
