Job summary

Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership is seeking an energetic Events & Program Manager to lead planning for signature events in Fond du Lac County. You will manage the Farmers Market, Fondue Fest, Wine Walks, Galentine’s Day, and more across about 15 events and 50+ event days.

You will coordinate timelines, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, budgets, and on-site operations, while promoting community engagement and supporting 280+ local businesses.

Qualifications

  • Strong event planning and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and details.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills with businesses, vendors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Experience with event budgets, vendor coordination, sponsorships, and contract negotiations.
  • Creative understanding of event marketing, social media, promotions, and audience engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Google Suites, social media platforms, and website management.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable with problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills with experience coordinating staff, volunteers, or event-day teams.
  • Experience in events, hospitality, marketing, communications, or community engagement is preferred.

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers and event-day teams.
  • Assist with staff onboarding while helping create a positive, collaborative team environment.

Help Bring Downtown Fond du Lac to Life! Do you love planning events, bringing people together, getting creative, and making things happen?

The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership (DFP) is looking for an energetic, organized, and community-minded Events & Program Manager to join our team!

This position takes the lead on some of Downtown Fond du Lac’s most beloved events, including the Saturday Farmers Market, Fondue Fest, Wine Walks, Galentine’s Day, and more. With approximately 15 annual events spanning more than 50 event days, you’ll have the opportunity to create experiences that bring thousands of people downtown while supporting our incredible community of 280+ businesses.

Examples of Duties

Special Events & Programming
Plan and execute DFP events, including the Farmers Market, Fondue Fest, Wine Walks, and more.
Coordinate event timelines, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, entertainment, budgets, and day-of operations.

Marketing & Communications
Create engaging promotions and marketing strategies for downtown events and businesses.
Oversee social media, website content, email marketing, newsletters, press releases, and print materials.

Community & Business Engagement
Build strong relationships with downtown businesses, community partners, and event participants.
Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for Downtown Fond du Lac and identify new partnership opportunities.

Sponsorships & Fundraising
Develop sponsorship opportunities and build relationships with community and corporate partners.
Coordinate sponsor benefits, recognition, and fulfillment.

Volunteer & Team Coordination
