Job summary

The Manatee Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time events coordinator to plan fundraisers, art/nature events, and educational classes for the community.

You will manage volunteers, coordinate programs, and oversee social media and marketing efforts to growing engagement.

This role offers flexible hours during the school year and a chance to contribute to local initiatives.

Qualifications

• experience with event planning & organizational skills
• proficient in computer skills & social media, marketing skills a plus
• people person with a passion for event planning & community engagement

• Events – plan park fundraisers i.e.. Garden Party, Spring/Fall Garden Festivals, Winter Nights, etc.
• Programs - coordinate horticulture/nature classes, tours, nature photography contest, etc.
• Volunteers - coordinate & oversee our many wonderful event volunteers
• Hours - part-time, 20 hrs./week, weekdays, flexible schedule during schoolyear months/hours
