Job summary

Palma Sola Botanical Park seeks a part-time role to develop and maintain the park’s grounds and facilities. You will work with the Executive Director and volunteers to create new garden spaces and educational experiences.

Responsibilities include grounds work (trees/shrubs, pruning, fertilizing, mulching) and light facilities tasks (irrigation repair, painting, event setup). You will also coordinate our garden volunteers and report to the Executive Director with a flexible weekday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience with gardening and light maintenance.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and work in varying weather.
• Outdoor person with a passion for plants and wildlife.

Responsibilities

• Grounds: plant trees/shrubs, prune, fertilize, mulch, etc. (no mowing or edging)
• Facilities: light maintenance i.e. irrigation repair, painting, set up for fundraisers, etc.
• Volunteers: coordinate & oversee our many amazing garden volunteers
• Hours: part-time, 30 hrs./week, weekdays, flexible schedule, report to Executive Director
