Job summary

Turning Pointe Autism Foundation invites an energetic Events Intern to support the planning and execution of community events at our Naperville location. You will learn the organization’s event plans, assist with developing new opportunities, and help implement ongoing events while gaining hands-on experience.

The role is part-time, 12–15 hours weekly, with compensation of $15–$17 per hour. Start tentative September 2026, with possible off-site events and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required and enrolled in a university/college.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to commute to Naperville, IL.
• Proficient in Office tools; ability to create presentations and manage documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; self-directed and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Event planner with functions, including attending events on- or off-site.
• Prepare event information and materials; create PowerPoint/Canva presentations.
• Handle clerical tasks, emails, and file organization; manage documents.
• Maintain databases, input data, and track records.
• Coordinate setup, teardown, and maintenance of meeting spaces.
• Order supplies, research vendors, and track event schedules.
• Support other duties as assigned.

Education

High school degree or equivalent

Enrolled in an accredited university/college

18+ years of age

Proficient computer skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Self-directed and able to work without supervision
