Job summary

The Events Manager at Princeton University’s SPIA D.C. Center in Washington, DC will lead ideation, planning, and execution of a wide range of events supporting public policy engagement.

Working with the Center’s Director, Program Manager, and partners in Washington and Princeton, the role encompasses outreach, budgeting, vendor management, and post-event follow‑up. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, 1-year term with a possibility of extension.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Clearly demonstrated project management and/or event planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong organizational ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

  • Advance planning for events ideation, design, and execution with faculty and users.
  • Manage event budgets and financial tracking.
  • Coordinate with SPIA communications, alumni, IT, and operations.
  • Lead day-of-event oversight to meet stakeholders' needs.
  • Maintain the Center's master events calendar and social media updates.
