CarGurus is seeking an Events Intern for its Facilities and Workplace Services team in Boston, MA. This 11‑week Summer Internship Program is designed to give hands‑on experience, expand networks, and build core industry skills.

• Coordinate event logistics such as rooms, catering, F&B, audiovisual support, supplies, signage, schedules, and guest needs.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to confirm details and track deliverables for a smooth event experience.
• Draft and coordinate event communications, invitations, reminders, instructions, and day‑of updates.
• Provide onsite support during events including setup, registration, troubleshooting, and guest assistance.
• Gather feedback, document lessons learned, and help improve event processes and templates.
• Be a welcoming culture ambassador to create an inclusive, connected, and enjoyable experience for employees.

Role overview

As an Events Intern on the Facilities and Workplace Services team, you will join an 11-week Summer Internship Program designed to give you hands‑on experience, expand your professional network, and build core industry skills. This full‑time opportunity (40 hours per week) runs from June through August 2027. CarGurus operates on a hybrid working model, and candidates should expect to work out of our Boston, MA office 60% of the time (approximately three days per week).

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration or a related field, with eligibility to complete a full‑time internship.
• Interest in event planning, hospitality, workplace experience, community programs, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through.
• Clear, friendly written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, service‑minded approach and willingness to jump in wherever support is needed.
• Calm judgment and flexibility when plans change or last‑minute issues arise.
• Comfort working with employees, leaders, vendors, and partners at all levels.
• Confidence using common workplace and collaboration tools, including calendars, documents, spreadsheets, and messaging platforms.
• Availability to work onsite in the Boston office and support occasional events outside standard hours.
• Previous experience supporting events, hospitality, customer service, administration, student organizations, or community programs is helpful but not required.

The displayed range represents the expected hourly rate for this position.

The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on‑target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles.

Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package. In addition to benefits, this role may qualify for discretionary bonuses/incentives and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Position Pay Range

$25-$25 USD
