Job summary

MGM Resorts in Las Vegas, NV seeks an Assistant Events & Entertainment Manager to oversee daily showroom operations, guest admissions, seating, and VIP accommodations, ensuring a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere and flawless show experiences.

You will lead a showroom team, coach staff, coordinate with Entertainment, Security and Guest Services, address guest concerns, and support staffing, training, and performance initiatives to maintain top-tier service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in guest services.
• Previous experience in live entertainment, showroom operations, theater management, hospitality, or a similar environment.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily front-of-house showroom operations, including event preparation, guest admissions, seating arrangements, VIP accommodations, and overall venue presentation.
• Lead, coach, and support showroom team members, ensuring consistent service standards, operational efficiency, and adherence to departmental procedures.
• Coordinate with Entertainment, Security, Guest Services, and other departments to support seamless performances, special events, and operational needs.
• Address guest concerns, special accommodations, and escalated situations with professionalism, discretion, and a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Support staffing, scheduling, training, and employee performance initiatives to maintain appropriate coverage and a high-performing team.
• Monitor showroom conditions, identify potential safety or operational concerns, and assist with implementing timely solutions.
• Assist the Showroom Manager with departmental initiatives, operational improvements, and maintaining established service and performance standards.
