Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking an Events Coordinator to drive events from concept to completion at our Grand Rapids campus. You will deliver exceptional customer service, coordinate spaces, and build relationships with internal and external clients.

You will handle logistics, coordinate audiovisual needs, and support pre-event planning and post-event follow-up, helping ensure every event meets quality standards and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Ability to work functions outside of normal business hours including split-shifts, evenings and weekends.
• Strong commitment to customer service and guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage events from conception to completion.
• Provide concierge services and hospitality for guests on-site.

As an Events Coordinator at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion.This position is responsible to produce events from conception through to completion. It will provide outstanding customer service and organize memorable events that meet quality expectations and build relationships with internal and external customers. Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Acts as an Ambassador for Pine Rest with the ability to “live the mission” of Pine Rest and have knowledge of the organization.
• Provide Concierge service including hospitality and amenities for guests
• Responsible for being on-site for coordination of events.
• Preplanning with “customer” both internal and external
• Responsible for room reservation/calendar for all meeting rooms
• Coordination of set up
• Coordination of food, technology, special requests
• Follow up – evaluation, guest history, attendance numbers, etc.
• Maintains data base of clients
• Handles registrations, payments, invoices, etc.
• Maintains calendar of event bookings, daily layouts for facility set-up, room signs, etc.
• Work in coordination with housekeeping/set up staff to ensure rooms reflect client needs.
• Work in coordination with manager to promote special events
• Able to operate all video, audio, and lighting functions
• Able to trouble-shoot technology when not functioning properly
• Maintain electronic signage

What Does This Role Require?

College degree in related field is preferred

Ability to work functions outside of normal business hours including split-shifts, evening and weekend hours as needed.

Working knowledge and commitment to customer service required
