Job summary

NC Community Colleges seeks an Events Coordinator to manage logistics, oversee livestreaming for major college events, and ensure AV readiness across campuses. The role includes supervising two staff members, coordinating space, catering, and safety, and supporting network and telecom tasks as needed.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination, plus strong customer service and organizational skills. Travelling to campuses is expected.

Qualifications

• You will hold a Bachelor's degree plus one year of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Preferred: Extron AV Associate, Shure Collaboration, Microsoft Azure, Dante Certification Levels 1-3, Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator, IAAP CPACC.
• Experience with audiovisual technology, livestreaming for major events, PC support, printers, mobile devices, information systems and copper cabling.
• Ability to supervise staff, assign and schedule work, evaluate performance, and provide technical training.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, and event coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event logistics including space availability, room arrangements, catering, and cost calculations.
• Lead live AV production and livestreaming for high-profile events and support routine meetings and conferences.
• Maintain and service classrooms, labs, and offices; support network, telecom, and security systems.
• Train and supervise two events staff; assign tasks, schedule coverage, and evaluate performance.
• Assist with procurement, installation of classroom technologies, and training for faculty.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
