ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The ONE Campaign is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Events & Partnerships Coordinator to plan and execute events on behalf of ONE's North America Advocacy team. This role sits at the center of the team, working across policy, advocacy, communications, government relations, and executive teams in both the United States and Canada to deliver events that advance ONE's mission — from high-level convenings with policymakers and partners to donor cultivation events.

The ideal candidate brings roughly three years of event planning experience, thrives on logistics and details, and enjoys collaborating with colleagues across a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.

You’ll report to the Senior Coordinator for North America and work closely with the North America Advocacy Team. This role can be based in the Washington, DC office on a hybrid schedule, or from Ottawa, Canada on a remote basis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn and contribute to making an impact on the world’s biggest challenges.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
  • Help to conceptualize and coordinate events across the full North America Advocacy team, including its Advocacy, US & Canada Government Relations, Policy, and Communications teams.
  • Plan and execute a full slate of North America Advocacy events — including convenings, panels and roundtables, receptions, donor events, staff retreats, and conference activations — from concept through post-event wrap-up. Serve as the central point of contact for event logistics, coordinating across the North America Advocacy team to align on goals, guest lists, timelines, and messaging for each event.
  • Manage all event logistics, including venue selection and contracting, vendor and catering coordination, budgeting, run-of-show development, travel and accommodations for VIP guests, and on-site production.
  • Oversee on-site event execution, staffing, and troubleshooting to ensure events run smoothly and reflect well on the organization, including invitation lists, RSVP tracking, and guest communications
  • Build and maintain event budgets and timelines, tracking spend against budget and flagging risks or opportunities for savings.
  • Assist with partnership development by conducting vetting, research, and tracking opportunities.
  • Support outreach to partners, creative collaborators, and key stakeholders.
  • Draft and send communications to stakeholders to ensure consistent engagement.
  • Help manage stakeholder databases and tracking tools.
  • Assist with other administrative and cross-team projects as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, departments, and seniority levels.
  • Comfort working with vendors, venues, and external partners, including negotiating contracts and managing logistics.
  • Highlyproficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with event management, CRM, or registration tools (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Salesforce) and standard office software.
  • Knowledge and understanding of effective project management
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude and excellent organizational skills
