Biltmore in Asheville, NC seeks an Event Work Crew 3 to lead in areas such as tent installation, deliveries, power/lighting, warehouse coordination, and exhibition staff. You will report to the Event Supervisor and help other leads finish weekly orders with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, installation/strike for exhibitions, and providing general support to leadership and the department as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred, but not required.
• At least 1 year in event setup or logistics preferred.
• Strong customer service and guest interaction skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work with power/lighting knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.

• Responsible for ensuring inventory is in good condition and available for rental. Must ensure all safety procedures are met.

• Estate Exhibition/Special Event Installation/Strike.

Job Description

Event Work Crew 3 will serve as primary "lead" of specific higher trained areas such as Tent installation, Deliveries, Power/Lighting, Warehouse Coordination, Exhibition staff, or Cross utilization between both event departments. This position will report daily to the Event Supervisor while working with the other lead positions on completing weekly orders and task with minimal supervision. Other duties include being responsible for loading and unloading trucks, cleaning and repairing equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and exhibition installation/strike. In addition, the incumbent will provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and the company as needed.

• Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality, service, and safety.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.
• Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
• Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
• Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 19 years of age.
• Leads by example and provides clear direction to others.
• Basic math skills are required.

Physical Requirments

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb, and work from, ladders, lifts, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
• Ability to reach overhead, bend and squat/kneel often.
