Job description

About Corinthian Events

Corinthian Events is a full-service event management company with offices in Boston, MA and Newport, RI. We plan and deliver corporate meetings, incentive travel programs, and special events for clients who expect every detail to be right. We’re a close-knit team that takes real pride in how our guests feel from the first invitation to the last night of the program.

The Role

The Event Technology Manager at Corinthian Events plays a crucial role in supporting client events, partners, and the planning team by creating seamless and user-friendly registration experiences for special events and meetings. This role requires maintaining an exceptionally high level of customer service while providing expert guidance to clients on registration needs, website configurations, meeting management, and overall attendee management. The Event Technology Manager is also responsible for managing RSVP data, hotel requests via rooming lists, data integrity, and other tasks associated with attendee communication and management.

What This Role Is Not

This isn’t an AV, production, or IT support role, and it isn’t a general event planning position. It’s built for someone who loves the registration side of events (the builds, the data, and the attendee journey) and wants to own it, from the first save-the-date to the last check-in.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration Website Management: Write content, design, and manage registration website builds in Cvent and occasionally platforms like Greenelope, Bizzabo, Whova or RegFox, ensuring an intuitive and efficient user experience.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding all aspects of event registration, providing clear and timely updates.
  • Registration Coordination: Oversee the entire registration process from start to finish, ensuring all details are handled with precision.
  • Travel to programs whether locally in New England or further away as the onsite registration representative, designing the check-in flow, running the registration desk, troubleshooting in real time, and directing onsite support staff.
  • Attendee Support: Field questions from attendees, providing assistance and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
  • Multitasking & Monitoring: Manage and monitor multiple registration builds simultaneously, maintaining high standards across all projects.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure that every interaction—from client to attendee to staff—is positive and memorable, reflecting Corinthian Events’ commitment to excellence.
  • Team & Budget Management: Demonstrate success in managing event registration teams, developing budgets, and achieving financial goals. Time tracking and reporting on project progress at determined intervals.
  • Data Management: Confidently use Excel to present attendee data and insights, delivering clear reports to planners and clients on registration progress.
  • Company Reporting: Ability to understand and report on registration department ROI throughout the year.
To Be Successful in This Role

Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience, is preferred.

Industry Passion: A genuine love for the hospitality industry and a passion for mastering new technologies.

Analytical Mindset: A talent for making sense of data and using it to inform decisions.

Customer Service Focus: A natural inclination towards providing exceptional customer service.

Team Spirit: A positive attitude and excitement to be part of a team.

Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring high-quality output in every task.

Qualifications
  • Event Management Software Experience: Experience with registration platforms such as Cvent, Greenelope, Bizzabo, Whova or RegFox etc., with a preference for Cvent.
  • Industry Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the event industry; DMC or Meeting Management experience is a plus.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management abilities, with the capability to manage complex timelines and multiple projects simultaneously. Time tracking and reporting on project progress.
  • Excel Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel, including functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX, IF, COUNTA, and COUNTIF.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Adobe Suite, Google Docs, and Google Workspace.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and handle competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resilience & Positivity: Ability to remain positive and productive in demanding situations, consistently delivering high-quality results.
