Job summary

Manatee County Government is seeking an part-time Events Support worker to perform janitorial and setup tasks for events at venues in Bradenton area. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work irregular hours including weekends and evenings, and to assist with teardown and cleanup duties as needed.

Position offers exposure to varied outdoor/indoor environments, with training provided for setup of sports facilities and temporary event infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, tear-down and cleanup of furniture and equipment for events at designated venues.
• Set up sports fields, courts, and related equipment as needed.
• Assist in repairing or replacing portable lighting, sound, and electrical equipment used for events.
• Maintain safety and follow instructions and procedures for event operations.
• Participate in emergency or disaster response activities as required.
