Job summary

City of Glendale is seeking a temporary, part-time Special Events support staff to assist with event preparation, setup, operations, and teardown. You will provide customer service to vendors, performers and the public and work under the Special Events team.

This hands‑on position may involve outdoor work, standing and walking for extended periods, and evenings, weekends or holidays as required. Be ready to lift up to 35 pounds and follow directions as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or public-facing roles.
• Ability to assist with event setup and teardown.
• Comfort working outdoors and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation and teardown of events.
• Provide day‑of assistance to vendors, performers and the public.
• Assist with vendor check‑in and location management.
• Monitor event areas to keep barriers and equipment in place.
• Load, transport and store event equipment and supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized public and operational areas.
• Follow directions from staff and work as part of the Special Events team.
