Job summary

The Flint Hills Discovery Center in Manhattan, KS is seeking team members to assist with special events and rentals. Duties include setting up tables and chairs, monitoring events, and breaking down and cleaning post event.

You may manage small rental events such as showers and birthday parties, greeting renters, showing spaces, and answering questions. Hours are highly variable from week to week based on events; must be 18+ and flexible with weekday evenings and weekends until 1:00 AM.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Available weekday evenings and weekends until 1:00AM.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and possess a service philosophy which reflects the mission of Parks & Recreation Department.
• Assists with special events and rentals which includes set up, monitoring events, break down and cleaning post event.
• Follows directions and communicates effectively.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative professional working relationships with others; individually and in a team environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
