Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Perform event related installation and teardown tasks at MGMRI properties, with knowledge of back of house, front of house, elevators, venues and docks.
  • Pack and unpack inventory using specialty carts and tools to assemble and disassemble furniture and other items.
  • Lead small crews and outside labor for installation and teardown of select events with awareness of timelines.
  • Read event orders and complete required paperwork including email, Teams, text and phone communications.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and shared gear such as lifts, vans and trucks in good condition.

THE JOB:

Perform event related installation and teardown tasks at all MGMRI properties, detailed knowledge of all property back of house, front of house, elevators, venues, and docks. Properly pack and unpack inventory items using specialty carts, have a working knowledge of additional parts, hardware and specialty tools to assemble and disassemble furniture and other inventory items. Lead small crews and outside labor for installation and tear down of select, small events with an awareness of timelines. Have a working knowledge of hotel venues, docks, entrances and exits. Trouble shoot and problem solve with limited oversite. Have a working knowledge of floral, linen and graphic installation, basic understanding of hanging props and decor as well as logistic to include transportation via company fleet. Check goods against event orders and handle inventory items to protect against loss and damage. Accurately read and understand event orders and complete all required paperwork including digital communication through email, teams, text and phone. Adhere to all health and safety standards, model best practices and have knowledge of security and property dock standards. Ensure that all venues are left clean and orderly, maintain assigned tools and equipment as well as shared equipment, such as lifts, company vans and trucks.

THE STARTING RATE:

$19.00/ hour
