Job summary

Las Vegas, NV-based MGM Resorts International is seeking a Deployment Engineer to design and deploy IT solutions, analyze hardware and software needs, and coordinate complex project implementations. You will document metrics for senior management, develop automation scripts, and train technicians for deployment success.

The role requires 6+ months IT experience, an associate degree, and willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of IT experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Associate's Degree in Information Systems/Technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a resort setting preferred.
  • Cross-platform integration experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of system and integration level testing preferred.
  • Basic scripting skills; A+ certification preferred.
  • MCP or higher preferred.

THE JOB:

The Deployment Engineer will be responsible for generating new and innovative solutions to complex problems and propose improvements to processes.

THE STARTING RATE:

$24.00 hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Analyze hardware & software needs for planning of projects and make recommendations based on requirements.
  • Generate new and innovative solutions to complex problems and propose improvements to processes by taking a broad perspective to problems, and identifying new, less obvious solutions.
  • Document project metrics for presentation to Senior Management, and coordinate tasks for deployments.
  • Manage project deployments appropriately to deliver upon committed project goals within assigned scope of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for project implementation.
  • Work with end users both pre & post deployment to ensure verification of successful product delivery.
  • Develop software automation scripts, and documentation for deployments.
  • Ability to train and lead property technicians or contingent workers for project implementation.
  • Work on hardware and software issues on company and non-company supported devices.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Have 6+ Months of prior relevant experience in Information Technology in a similar role
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  • Has an Associate's Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field - Preferred
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting - Preferred
  • Cross-platform experience and the expertise to identify and resolve integration issues - Preferred
  • Knowledge of system and integration level testing - Preferred
  • Strong quality assurance background - Preferred
  • Basic fluency in command line scripting or higher - A+ Certified - Preferred
  • MCP or higher - Preferred
