Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking energetic Event Staff to support LAZ Live events. You will assist guests, guide them through entry, and help maintain safety and flow throughout venues.

Roles include ushers, ticket agents, and access control with a focus on exceptional guest experiences. Training provided; part-time, non-exempt, events-driven schedule.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age 18 and physical ability to stand/walk for long periods.
  • Experience in guest services or event operations is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests, guide them to seating and venue services.
  • Scan tickets, verify access, and manage entry points efficiently.
  • Monitor entrances and assist with crowd management and safety.
  • Support setup/breakdown and guest information points.
  • Deliver friendly, professional service throughout events.

Schedule

Team members support a variety of events and may be required to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other peak event periods. Flexibility is essential, as schedules are based on venue and event needs.

Position Overview

As an Event Staff Team Member, you will help deliver exceptional guest experiences while supporting the successful execution of events. Assignments may vary based on venue requirements, operational needs, and individual experience.

Event Staff members serve as ambassadors for both LAZ Live and our venue partners, providing professional, friendly, and attentive service from guest arrival through departure.

Potential Assignments
Usher

Ushers assist guests throughout the venue and help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests and provide directions
  • Assist with seating and venue navigation
  • Support crowd flow and guest movement
  • Monitor assigned seating areas
  • Assist guests with accessibility needs
  • Address guest questions and concerns
  • Report safety or operational issues to supervisors
  • Help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
Ticket Agent

Ticket Agents play a key role in creating a smooth and efficient guest arrival experience.

Responsibilities
  • Scan and validate event tickets
  • Assist guests with ticketing questions
  • Verify access to premium, VIP, and restricted areas
  • Support efficient venue entry operations
  • Provide venue information and directions
  • Utilize mobile ticketing and scanning technology
  • Maintain organized guest entry points
Access Control Agent

Access Control Agents help support venue security and established access procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled-access areas
  • Verify credentials and authorized access
  • Observe and report safety concerns
  • Support crowd management efforts
  • Assist with emergency response procedures when necessary
  • Coordinate with supervisors and venue personnel
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout events
General Event Attendant

General Event Attendants provide operational support across multiple event functions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist guests with information and wayfinding
  • Support crowd management efforts
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown activities
  • Staff entrances, exits, and guest service locations
  • Support VIP and special event experiences
  • Assist venue leadership with operational needs
  • Deliver excellent customer service throughout the event

Qualifications
Required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and venue personnel
  • Ability to follow procedures and directions
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in busy event environments
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
Preferred
  • Experience in event services, hospitality, guest services, ticketing, security, customer service, or venue operations
  • Experience working in stadiums, arenas, theaters, concert venues, convention centers, or entertainment facilities
  • Experience working with large crowds
  • CPR, First Aid, or emergency response certifications
  • Familiarity with mobile ticketing or access control technology
  • Valid driver's license preferred

  • Communicate effectively in active event environments
  • Utilize handheld devices and mobile technology as required
