Job summary

City of Sherwood is seeking on-call event staff to assist with setup, logistics, clean-up, and breakdown for a variety of events. The role requires strong communication, the ability to follow written and verbal directions, and the capacity to work safely in a dynamic environment.

This position offers flexible weekend and evening shifts, with occasional weekday work. Successful candidates will be dependable, punctual, and able to lift at least 30 pounds while collaborating with Arts Center staff

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (minimum 30 pounds) and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced event environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down of chairs, tables, pipe and drape, stanchions, podium, signage, and seating.
• Lift up to 50 pounds (minimum 30 pounds).
• Work with Arts Center staff and follow directions for setting up and converting the space for events.
• Perform cleaning, inventorying, and maintenance duties (AV and theatre equipment).
• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the space for rentals.
