Job summary

Hyatt Regency Dallas is seeking an Event Set-Up Supervisor to lead furniture arrangement for meetings and conferences downtown near Reunion Tower. The role involves coaching staff, coordinating with clients, and ensuring rooms meet specifications throughout events.

This hands-on, fast-paced position requires multitasking administrative duties with operational support, including training, scheduling, and basic payroll oversight.

Qualifications

• Dynamic walking/standing is required.
• Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays (AM/PM/Overnight).

Responsibilities

• Supervises the setup, organization, and overall arrangement of furniture in meeting rooms and conference halls.
• Holds a pre-shift meeting with convention services staff to communicate tasks for the shift.
• Reviews the Daily Detail Report for accuracy and daily needs.
• Oversees convention services staff, issuing directives on tasks.
• Assists with convention setup during busy periods, including moving furniture and staging.
• Consults with clients to adjust event setup or furniture placement.
• Communicates with managers for additional assistance as needed.
• Inspects rooms after setup to ensure adherence to specs.
• Responds to requests for seating or furniture changes.
• Assists with event cleanup after conclusion.
• Trains and coaches housepersons.
