Hyatt Regency Dallas is seeking an Event Set-Up Supervisor to lead the meeting space setup and a rock-star team. This role offers growth opportunities and is part of a Best Places to Work in North Texas team.

You will supervise furniture setup for meetings, coach staff, and collaborate with Convention Services managers to meet client needs. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship skills.
• Fast-paced, hands-on role requiring multitasking of administrative and operational tasks.
• Physical ability: dynamic walking/standing; pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises setup, organization, and arrangement of furniture in meeting rooms and conference halls.
• Leads pre-shift briefings with convention services staff.
• Reviews Daily Detail Report for accuracy and daily work overview.
• Oversees convention services staff, directing tasks for shifts.
• Assists with convention setup during busy periods (moving furniture and stage pieces).
• Consults with clients to adjust event setup; communicates needs to managers.
• Inspects conference rooms post-setup to ensure specifications.
• Responds to requests for additional seating or furniture changes.
• Assists with event cleanup and takedown after events.
• Trains and coaches housepersons.
