Job summary

Grand Hyatt Denver is seeking an Assistant Event Set-up and Services Manager to support successful meetings, conferences, banquets and events by overseeing room set‑up, equipment readiness, and day‑to‑day direction of event set‑up staff. This hands‑on role emphasizes safety, accuracy, timing, presentation and guest‑ready standards.

You will coordinate room layouts, inspect AV equipment, train staff, help schedule shifts, and collaborate with banquet, culinary, engineering and housekeeping teams

Qualifications

• Experience in hotels,Resorts, convention or banquet operations.
• Ability to supervise staff and lead teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee set-up, breakdown, and reset of meeting rooms and banquet spaces.
• Coordinate room layouts, tables, chairs, staging, linens, signage and equipment.
• Inspect AV, lighting and staging for safety and readiness.
• Communicate progress and changes to leadership and departments.
• Train staff on setup standards and safety practices.
• Assist with staff scheduling and attendance.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are stored and ready for future use.
• Collaborate with banquet, culinary, engineering and housekeeping teams.
