Job summary

Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site Inc. is seeking an Event Porter to set up, service, and clean event spaces for public programs and special events. You will support operations, ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, and work with staff, clients, and vendors.

Flexibility to work daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, brisk movement during events, and collaboration with event/tech teams to maintain high standards of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong hospitality, customer service and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and presentation standards.
• Ability to collaborate with event and tech teams.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Comfortable in fast-paced hospitality environments.
• Proactive, reliable and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong time management and prioritization.
• Teamwork and basic tool skills for assembling/disassembling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up chairs, tables, staging and other event furniture according to floorplans or client requests.
• Pre-event cleaning of the venue space and restocking restrooms and supplies.
• Disassemble setups after events and manage signage/linens inventory.
• Provide directions and assist guests, speakers and vendors; coordinate with event/tech teams.
