Job summary

Wild Dunes Resort is seeking a Set Up Attendant for its Banquet team in Isle of Palms, SC, just outside Charleston. The role handles the setup and turnover of all banquet events and requires no prior banquet experience.

Pay is $14.25/hr plus service charge, with benefits after 30 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision, PTO and a 401K with company match. The position supports a HyattValues culture in a resort setting.

Responsibilities

• Execute the set up and tear down of all banquet events to include tables, chairs, and all related equipment.
• Move air walls, linen, china, glassware, etc.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Inventory and regular maintenance of banquet equipment, supplies and facilities.

Description

The Set-Up Attendant is responsible for the physical set-up and turnovers of all Banquet events. Previous experience is not required.

• Execute the set up and tear down of all banquet events to include-
  • Tables, chairs, and all miscellaneous equipment related to group events
  • Move air wall, linen, china, glassware, etc.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will likely include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Rate of Pay: $14.25/hr + service charge

Qualifications

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat);
• Must be able to walk, climb into and out of and operate a vehicle frequently, with occasional stair climbing.
• Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand & arm movements, pushing and pulling and simple grasping frequently; squeezing, overhead reaching & fine manipulation occasionally.
