Job summary

Fox River Christian is seeking a part-time janitor to maintain clean worship spaces, clean restrooms, and support service preparation. The role requires reliability, the ability to lift and move equipment, and a willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

The position involves routine cleaning tasks, assisting with event setup for church services, and ensuring the sanctuary and rooms are organized for gatherings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or facility maintenance preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and set up furniture and equipment as needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required for events and services.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, drinking fountains, and other high-touch areas.
• Empty trash containers and replace liners throughout the facility.
• Restock restroom supplies, including toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Clean window ledges to maintain a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
• Conduct regular floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Clean walls, partitions, and other surfaces to ensure a well-maintained facility.

• Ensure the sanctuary and other rooms are clean, organized, and properly arranged for worship services and gatherings.
