Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Agriculture, is seeking a temporary Event Services Operations Staff member to support events across the Farm Show Complex. You will help prepare, maintain, and keep the facility clean, organized, and visitor-ready.

This part-time, temporary role involves event setup, cleaning, grounds work, livestock support, and equipment handling, with varied shifts during farm show week and on-site parking provided.

Qualifications

• No previous experience or training required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Experience around animals and livestock is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work diverse shifts over a week and in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Event Setup: Assemble, place, and tear down tables, chairs, stages, pens, and other event equipment.
• Cleaning Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub, and disinfect floors, restrooms, pens, and facility areas.
• Grounds Work: Remove trash, snow, debris, and other materials from walkways, parking areas, and grounds.
• Livestock Support: Clean stalls, move bedding materials, and remove manure during and after shows.
• Equipment Handling: Use basic tools, operate cleaning equipment, and move heavy items safely.
• Facility Care: Maintain meeting rooms, common areas, and workspaces to keep them clean and organized.
