Job summary

The University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA is seeking an Event Services Casual Labor to support planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of large campus events. This part-time position provides hands-on experience in event operations for ceremonies, commencements, and campus programs.

You will work with the Director of Event Services and campus partners to ensure organized spaces, smooth guest experiences, and responsive on-site support during live events, adapting to changing schedules

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in a professional event setting.
• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or events is preferred.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, preparation, and breakdown of university events, including venues, tables, chairs, and signage.
• Provide on-site operational support during live events and programs.
• Coordinate with campus partners, vendors, volunteers, and guests to ensure smooth event execution.
• Research and benchmark event practices to support continuous improvement of university events.
