Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Event Security Professional in New York. The role is temporary with potential to become permanent. Shifts include mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and pay is $18.70 per hour.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, checking tickets, directing foot and parking traffic, and ensuring safety and service quality at events. A NYS Security Guard License is required and prior security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Valid NYS Security Guard License required; licensing rules apply.
• Experience in fast-paced environments is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Control venue entry; may scan tickets, verify wristbands/badges, direct traffic.
• Understand policies/regulations of various venues and events.
• Initiate greetings at facility entrances and assist guests with directions.
