Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer – Event Venue Patrol to protect clients at a New York venue. You will monitor, patrol, respond to alarms, document observations, and deliver excellent customer service.

This full-time role offers shifts at a New York site with a pay rate of $21.52 per hour. You’ll join a team that values integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture, with training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, teller areas, office spaces, ATM areas, and the building perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and suspicious behavior.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing visitors to the appropriate area in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete daily reports, incident documentation, and shift logs using Allied Universal reporting requirements and client site guidelines.
