BEST Crowd Management in Columbus, OH is seeking an Event Security Officer (part-time) to ensure attendee safety and protect property at CAPA Theatres events. You will maintain a professional presence, patrol venues, and work with staff and emergency services.

Pay is $15.50 per hour. Requirements include being at least 18, a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to stand long hours, pass a background check and drug screen, and a valid security license if required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience in event security or related field advantageous.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods; physically fit.
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visible, professional presence per client and BEST standards.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter incidents and ensure safety.
• Monitor access points, conduct bag checks, screen entrants.
• Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, or disturbances.
• Coordinate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services.
• Provide customer service to attendees and staff; give directions.
• Report security occurrences to supervisor or medical personnel.
• Document activities observed and submit reports to leadership.
• Uphold company policies and security procedures.
