Job summary

BEST Crowd Management in Toledo, OH is seeking an Event Security Officer to join our professional team for arena events. You will maintain a visible, professional presence, monitor access points, perform screenings, and respond to incidents to ensure attendees, staff, and property are safe.

Applicants should be 18+, have a HS diploma (some college preferred), and be able to stand for long periods. A valid security license or willingness to obtain one is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (some college education is preferred).
• Previous experience in event security or related field is advantageous.
• Possess strong physical fitness and ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Exhibit excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work effectively in a team and with diverse backgrounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Possess a valid security license or be willing to obtain one where required.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence to client and BEST standards.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter incidents and ensure safety.
• Monitor access points, conduct bag checks, and screen entrants.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or medical emergencies.
• Coordinate with event staff, police, and emergency services.
• Provide exceptional customer service and directions to attendees.
• Report security incidents to supervisors or appropriate authorities.
• Document relevant activity and submit to leadership.
