Job summary

San Diego Theatres Inc in San Diego, CA is seeking a Part Time Public Safety Lead Officer to oversee the safety and security of staff and guests during events and non-performance days. Under the Manager's supervision, the Lead Officer directs staff to ensure safe operations and high service quality.

The role requires de-escalation, strong communication, and reliable shift coverage. A high school diploma and three years related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to de-escalate incidents diplomatically and tactfully.
• Interpersonal skills to foster a welcoming environment for clients, guests, contractors, employees.

• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Availability to work day, evening or shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedure manuals and to write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Public Safety staff during event and non-event shifts.
• Coordinate with Front of House Managers to address guest complaints with problem resolution.
• Provide incident reports to Manager.
• Supervise Contract Security and EMT to ensure high service levels.
• Maintain staff sign-in, timesheets and log sheets.
