Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security professional for University of Wisconsin events in Madison. You will perform a blend of event staff duties and security tasks to keep attendees safe and ensure a positive experience for all.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience in event security or related fields is advantageous.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with diverse colleagues.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid security license or willingness to obtain one.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup including equipment and signage.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks.
• Provide customer service to attendees.
• Collaborate with staff and security to maintain safety.
• Assist in crowd management and flow.
