BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security professional for University of Wisconsin events in Madison, WI. The role combines event staff duties with security tasks to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for attendees.

Ideal candidates are adaptable, with excellent communication and a strong commitment to customer service and safety, and must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and comply with local regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
• Prior experience in event security, law enforcement, or related field is advantageous.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods and stay physically fit.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup, including equipment and signage.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks to prevent entry of unauthorized individuals.
• Provide friendly customer service by assisting attendees with inquiries and directions.
• Collaborate with event staff and security to maintain safety and order.
• Assist in crowd management and control entry/exit flow.
• Respond to security incidents or emergencies following established protocols.
• Monitor event areas to enforce rules and safety procedures.
• Resolve attendee complaints or conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies and deliver high standards of service and security.
