Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security professional to support University of Wisconsin events in Madison, WI. This part-time role combines event staff duties with security tasks to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for attendees.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a high school diploma, good communication, and teamwork. You will assist with setup, monitor access, and respond to incidents while upholding company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous event security or related experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a security license if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and equipment/signage layout.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks.
• Provide friendly customer service and attendee assistance.
• Collaborate with staff and security to maintain safety.
• Manage crowd flow and control entry/exit points.
• Respond to incidents according to established protocols.
• Enforce event rules and safety procedures.
• Address attendee concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Adhere to company policies to deliver high-quality service.
