Job summary

Allied Universal® Event Services is seeking an Event Security Guard to support venues across California. This part-time role offers weekly pay and starting wage of $23.15 per hour, with California guard card required.

You will check bags, enforce access control, and provide exceptional guest service at sports arenas and events. Successful candidates will be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass background checks and drug screening, and be able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; additional screening may be required if driving a customer or company owned vehicle.
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Direct traffic at venue entry, verify tickets, and direct entrants.
• Screen guests via bag search, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring at checkpoints for security breaches.
• Respond quickly to crowd control issues and provide escorts when necessary.
• Follow venue policies and regulations across different events.
• Provide a positive guest experience and assist with directions and entertainment needs.
