Job summary

Allied Universal® Event Services in Berkeley, CA is hiring for part-time Event Security staff for college sports and events. You will check bags, enforce access control, and provide excellent guest service.

Starting pay is $24.00 per hour and a California Guard Card is required. The role includes bag search, ticket verification, directing guests, and responding to crowd control issues with professional discretion.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and post-offer drug/alcohol testing required.
• Ability to use independent judgment and discretion.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Manage entry flow: verify tickets/badges and direct guests.
• Screen guests via bag searches, wand or metal detector, ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring at checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to crowd issues and escort unruly guests if needed.
• Provide directions to enhance guests' entertainment experience.
