Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security professional in Madison, WI to support University of Wisconsin events. The role combines event staff duties with security tasks to ensure attendee safety and a positive experience.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work flexible hours. A security license may be required depending on local rules.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in event security or related field is advantageous.
• Strong communication, observation and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a security license if required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and equipment arrangement.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide friendly customer service to attendees with inquiries and directions.
• Collaborate with staff and security to maintain a safe environment.
• Help manage crowd flow and control entry/exit points.
• Respond to incidents following established protocols.
• Enforce event rules and safety procedures.
• Resolve attendee complaints calmly and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies and deliver high service and security standards.
