BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security professional for the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. This part-time role blends event staff duties with security tasks to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, monitoring access points, guiding attendees, and coordinating with security personnel to maintain order and safety at events.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary depending on local regulations).
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
• Previous experience in event security, law enforcement, or related field is advantageous.
• Strong physical fitness; ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills; strong communication.
• Willingness to obtain a security license if required by local regulations.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup, including equipment, signage, and materials.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide friendly customer service by helping attendees with inquiries and directions.
• Collaborate with event staff and security to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist in crowd management; control entry/exit points and attendee flow.
• Respond to security incidents or emergencies following established protocols.
• Monitor event areas to enforce rules and safety procedures.
• Handle attendee complaints or conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies and guidelines to deliver high service and security standards.
