Job summary

Verkada is seeking a sharp physical security professional to join our Global Security Team. You will develop, implement, and oversee security programs for events from small field gatherings to large conferences, translating plans into security requirements and ensuring on-site execution.

This role travels to events, partners with marketing and the executive protection team, and supports insider threat and threat intelligence programs across Verkada locations, while balancing daily operations

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of corporate or physical security experience, including event security planning.
• Ability to translate vague requirements into actionable security plans.
• Strong communication with stakeholders from planners to executives.
• Calm, detail-oriented execution under pressure, with credentialing and vendor logistics.
• Experience with access control and video security systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with marketing and events early to scope security requirements and assess risk for internal and executive-attended events.
• Build and execute end-to-end security plans, including site assessments and staffing.
• Serve as on-site contact to manage issues in real time during events.
• Travel to supervise on-site security for events and support operations at Verkada locations.
• Support daily physical security operations, including access administration, investigations, and incident response.
• Conduct ongoing security audits to identify gaps in physical coverage at remote locations.
• Coordinate with executive protection on operations outside the event calendar.
• Monitor internal and external threats to identify and assess potential threats.
• Produce threat briefs ahead of high-profile events or announcements.
