Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking an Event Security team member to help create a safe, professional, and welcoming experience for guests at campus events. You will screen entrants, control access, and assist with event operations to protect guests, performers, staff, and the overall event experience.

Ideal candidates will treat guests with respect, apply policies consistently, and demonstrate sound judgment and professional communication in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to maintain a welcoming environment while enforcing policies with consistency.
• Experience with events and crowd management is preferred.
• Two-way radios experience is a plus.
• Ability to listen, communicate clearly, and de-escalate tense situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct entry screening and manage access to restricted areas.
• Monitor crowd flow and enforce venue policies.
• Validate credentials at docks, tunnels, and production areas.
• Observe incidents and write concise statements for reporting.
• Maintain professional presence and uphold service standards.
