Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

The Company BEAT THE BOMB is the next generation of immersive group entertainment, where customers step into real-life video games. We use an innovative digital, interactive game system to reimagine the intersection of technology and human social connection. Our Mission experience involves teams in hazmat suits navigating interactive game rooms, including a laser maze, culminating in the World's Largest Paint, Slime, and Foam Bomb! Since opening our Brooklyn location in 2018, we now have venues in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Charlotte, Houston, and Denver. We've hosted over 300,000 players, including corporate team building, school groups, and non-profits. Beat The Bomb is highly rated across markets, offering experiences like STEM Camps, Birthday parties, Corporate Tournaments, and Bachelorette parties. We also provide a virtual team building platform, Beat The Bomb Virtual, for remote teams worldwide.

The Houston Location: Located in the historic Fifth Ward, this 10,000+ sq ft venue opened in January 2025. It features our Mission experiences, arcade lounges, street food, a full bar, a beer garden, and private event spaces. We aim to build a top-tier team for this exciting new location and brand.

Job Description

Event Sales & Marketing Manager

Pay - Base Salary of $55k-$65k + Commission, targeting $90k-$110k all in.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sales (80%)
  • Generate qualified leads for corporate events, school trips, charity events, etc.
  • Network with local businesses, educators, and organizations.
  • Plan community events and represent Beat The Bomb at major networking events.
  • Partner with hotels, universities, and large organizations to drive business.
  • Provide excellent customer service, respond to inquiries promptly, and maximize revenue per event.
  • Support hosting large events and tours on-site.
Marketing (20%)
  • Collaborate on local marketing strategies, develop marketing calendars, and support creative localization.
  • Assist with PR, influencer marketing, local partnerships, and activations.
  • Organize local events and promotions, including flyers, street teams, and conference participation.
  • Develop venue marketing collateral and support employee referral programs and charity initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years in Marketing and Sales, preferably in hospitality or entertainment.
  • Event sales experience is a major plus.
  • Line management experience is a plus.
  • Availability for 5-day work weeks, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.
  • Outgoing, networking-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Aligned with Beat The Bomb values: positivity, responsibility, fun, and growth.
  • Familiarity with GSuite and Tripleseat is a plus.
